Ohio Senate Passes LaRose Bills to Support Military Families and Eliminate Barriers for Veterans

Governor Kasich signed S.B. 170 into law earlier this week. Sponsored by State Sen. Frank LaRose, this new law will waive the skills test for a commercial driver’s license for veterans who have applicable military certifications.

Currently, 45 other states provide similar benefits. The bill passed the Ohio Senate this month and heads to the Ohio House for further consideration.
